Pretty Woman USA - Ceramic Lacquers (swatches and review)

**press sample**
Hi guys! Today I have a new collection from Pretty Woman! This is their Ceramic finish lacquers; they all dry to a true ceramic finish, though I must say my photos really came across a bit more matte than they are in real life! They truly dry to a finish that is more between a satin and a matte...did anyone understand that other than me? Haha! Anyway, let's get to it!

Pretty Woman

The formulas were pretty much the same straight across the board. As a "matte" finish type polish, they can be finicky if you're not used to it. Generally with mattes, I allow the first coat to completely dry before even thinking about adding a second. I then try to float the second coat on. If you go in with your second too quickly, you run the risk of dragging the first coat and then you end up with a clumpy mess. Patience is key for any good mani!

Also remember that if you're not a fan of matte finishes, but you like the color, you can always add a glossy topcoat to change the look! Some of these have a bit of shimmer in them, that is hard to see when they are matte. If you add a glossy topcoat, it really makes it stand out!

Green Ceramic is a seam foam green, with a touch of mint color.
Here I did two coats, no topcoat

Periwinkle Ceramic is a beautiful pastel periwinkle, leaning more blue polish. Again two coats, no topcoat

Pink Ceramic is a gorgeous bright magenta with a hint of shimmer throughout! Wonderful formula; almost a thicker one coater, but I did two normal coats with no topcoat! This is one of my favs!

Light Purple is a soft pastel purple, leaning pink. Again I did two coats, no topcoat

Light Blue Ceramic is a beautiful periwinkle that was just two coats, no topcoat

Tangerine Ceramic is a soft tangerine color. I don't generally like oranges, but this more pastel tone is really pretty. Here I did three thin coats.

Pale Yellow Ceramic is a bright, but still pastel yellow color. This one was another three coater, but I have yet to find a yellow that wasn't.

White Ceramic is a soft white that was also three coats, no topcoat

Dark Grey Ceramic is a deep charcoal grey with a bit of shimmer running throughout! This was my other favorite! This one was almost one coat, but still needed two to be totally opaque.

Red Ceramic is a bright blue toned red. This is my fav tone of red. I don't care for the ones with pink undertones, so I was really happy to see this! This one was almost one coat, but was a bit streaky, so I did two coats, no topcoat

LEOPARD is a clear jelly base filled with silver holographic shards and black matte leopard glitters! Here I did one coat, with a little bit of placement over Red Ceramic and added a glossy topcoat!

I really loved this collection! I never used to be a fan of matte, as I had a horrible time applying them. After learning the proper way to put them on, I have grown to adore them! This collection was wonderful! The array of color choices makes it possible for everyone to find the perfect "ceramic" finish that best suites them! Even better, Pretty Woman is currently offering a 40% Discount by using the code CERAMIC at checkout!
